Eric Whitrock, Founder, Managing Partner, CEO

Eric started RC Metrics as a spinoff of MBR in 2015. RC Metrics is the data analytics company with tools and services that supplies MBR the reports its clients need to manage their business. Eric founded MBR in 1996. Since then, MBR has analyzed and successfully managed revenue cycle support solutions for more than 400 hospitals and clinics, nationwide. Clients include the largest healthcare companies in the world to the smallest rural providers. He designed AudiMed™, the charge auditing program for the City and County of Denver Department of Health and Hospitals. He also designed the AnswerData™ suite of applications for healthcare revenue cycle management and strategic claims management. Eric is a Follmer Award recipient for service as Committee Chair in HFMA. He is also a Board Member of the Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators (AHCAE).

Dave Eaton, Partner

Dave has 26 years of extensive application development experience at Integrated Petroleum Systems, ACS, ISEC, and consulting work with the FDIC. At each organization, Dave designs state-of-the-art software programs for data system automation. He has written the second generation of AudiMed, the Charge Auditing Program for the City and County of Denver Department of Health and Hospitals. Dave also collaborated in the development of the ARMS™, and QDAR™ programs, and has authored articles featured in national database publications. Dave has been an integral part of MBR since 1999, and is a founding member of RC Metrics.

Rich Devlin, Partner, COO

Rich has over 30 years of developing, marketing, and managing software and hardware products, from Fortune 15 high-tech companies to software startups. His background ranges from applications software development to large computer systems design.  He was the Senior Product Manager for the two most successful server product lines in the history of Digital Equipment Corporation.  He developed CAD/CAE software in semiconductor research and circuit simulation.  Mr. Devlin additionally has been a successful salesperson / marketer / product line manager for a small nonlinear control dynamical systems software company, as well as the founder and developer of an enterprise class IT risk management software company focused on banking and healthcare.  He graduated from Holy Cross with an AB in Mathematics and Physics, and a MBA from Babson College. He joined RC Metrics in 2016 to build a scalable business.

Holly Fanah Steele, Partner

Holly began her career in the business of hospital finance in 1986, where she worked for a medical records auditing firm, Medical Charge Recovery.  She then went to work for a revenue cycle management company, and was instrumental in helping them develop one of the first document imaging companies for hospital business offices.  In 2003, Holly ventured into broadcasting, becoming COO for a Denver-based TV and Radio show.  In 2014, she returned to healthcare revenue cycle in joining RC Metrics.

George A. Paletta, Jr  M.D., M.B.A., Orthopedic, New Ventures

Dr. Paletta is a nationally recognized leader in Sports Medicine. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon, who since 1996 has served as Associate Team Physician for the New York Mets, Assistant Team Physician and Head Team Physician/Medical Director for the St. Louis Rams, Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery–Chief Sports Medicine Service at Washington University School of Medicine, and Head Team Physician and Medical Director for the St. Louis Cardinals. He is a graduate of The College of Holy Cross and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a Sports Medicine Research Fellow at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He is in the Sports Medicine Fellowship of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Pediatric and Adolescent Sports Medicine Fellowship of the Children’s Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Paletta also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He is an American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Diplomat, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association, Mid-America Orthopedic Association, Missouri State Orthopedic Association, and the St. Louis Orthopedic Society.

Dr. Francis X. Campion, M.D. F.A.C.P., Internist, Informatics

Dr. Campion is a distinguished Informatist in healthcare with an extensive record of successful product development with a variety of organizations in a range of roles, from direct management to adviser. He joined the RC Metrics Medical Board of Advisors in 2016. Dr. Campion became the Vice President for Clinical Affairs for DiagnosisOne, Inc. (Lowell, MA) in October 2011. DiagnosisOne, is a leader in clinical decision support and health analytics. He also serves as a consultant for design of Phase IV clinical research studies for drug and device safety at Outcome Sciences, Inc. Cambridge, MA. From 2008 – 2011 he served as the Director of Provider Programs at Outcome creating patient registries, studies, and technologies for evaluating real-world outcomes.  Dr. Campion oversaw expansion of clinical registry programs with hospitals and physician professional associations leading up to the acquisition of Outcome Sciences by Quintiles, Inc., the world’s largest provider of pharmaceutical research clinical research services in 2011. These included national stroke and heart failure registries for the American Heart Association and quality improvement registries for the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American College of Rheumatology.Dr. Campion maintains his internal medicine clinical practice at the Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Kenmore center in Boston.  Previously he served as the Director for Clinical Information Systems and as the Director for the Complex Chronic Care disease management program at HVMA and the Atrius Health System where he focused on the optimization of the Epic EMR. He is a member of the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School where he participates in research initiatives involving the use of clinical information systems for biosurveillance, patient safety and clinical decision support. Dr. Campion has been listed in the referral service, “Best Doctors” since 1997.Prior to coming to HVMA/Atrius Health in 2005, Dr. Campion served for 10 years as the Vice President for Clinical Integration at the Caritas Christi Health Care System in Boston and also on the physician advisory council with Meditech, Inc. Prior to that he was a member of the Internal Medicine Dept. and the Director for Quality Resources and Risk Management at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.He received his AB degree in biology from the College of the Holy Cross, medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed internal medicine residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital.

Mario M. Lopez, MD, PhD, Hospitalist, Advanced Analytics

 

Mario is a physician, hospitalist and advanced analytics developer, having earned a PhD in theoretical physics in 1992 and an MD in internal medicine in 2003. 

Mario has over nine years of experience as a hospitalist physician. His work gives him first-hand knowledge of hospital operations involving every facet of patient health care. He is currently an urgent care physician with the Veterans Health Administration. Before becoming a physician, Mario earned his doctorate in theoretical atomic and molecular physics from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In the process of completing his PhD thesis, Mario worked for a number of years as a visiting research assistant at the Harvard University Department of Chemistry under the direction of the Nobel laureate, Professor Dudley Herschbach, PhD. He later worked at Harvard University Medical School as a post-doctoral research fellow in the department of Biochemistry & Molecular Pharmacology in data-intensive aspects of molecular modeling as applied to drug development.

Robin Linker, Healthcare Auditor and Educator, Coding

Robin Linker, CHCA, CHCAS, CPC-I, CPC, COC (CPC-H), CPC-P, MCS-P, CHC is a leading expert in health care coding, auditing, education and documentation nationwide. She is the Executive Director of Operations for the Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators and CEO of Robin Linker & Associates, a nationally known healthcare consulting firm in Colorado. With over 30 years in healthcare, she provides consulting, auditing, research and education in most areas of practice management, compliance and correct coding for teaching institutions and other large facilities to small group or single physician practices. She is certified in both physician and facility coding through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and is dually certified in medical compliance, including the Health Care Compliance Association. Robin is called upon frequently to lecture and author publications and articles to various organizations on documentation, coding compliance and healthcare regulatory issues. She is a former member of the Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Group (POE-AG) for TrailBlazers and CMS and is a former Director of Education and Technical Development for the American Academy of Professional Coders and has contributed in the technical and developing process to many of the national certification and specialty exams. She is the co-author and presenter of the American Medical Associations ICD-10-CM Training Workshops and annual CPT Updates Workshops. She is co-author of the college curriculum, Understanding Medical Coding: A Comprehensive Guide, currently in its 4th edition.
